Original post from September 2nd, 2013:This Fiat Abarth 131 Racing which was receiving a full restoration when 131mirafiori.com‘s founding member, “kev131″ saw it while vacationing in Italy. Unfortunately there is a language barrier between him and the shop employees so we don’t have a lot of information on it other than what can be seen in the pictures. What we do know is that the garage is what looks like an old factory Fiat service station and is filled with some great vintage cars, including a Fiat Campagnolo jeep, an X 1/9, and a Lancia Fulvia Coupe, so their cred is good in our books.
What is it about a clean, well organized shop and suspension parts laid on the floor that makes us car-guys so happy?
That is all we got at the moment, but a quality 131 build is rare enough to find that it was enough for us to want to start a further investigation.
This is one that we will update if we can bring anything else into the light. We don’t see enough of these rare Abarth 131 Racing’s to just skip over this one and jump to the next story, so stay tuned.
The quality of the restoration definitely made this one deserve an honorable mention for the moment. For now, just enjoy the pictures..
